Advocacy & Influence

Willmott Dixon advocates for a sustainable low carbon built environment through its work, including with UKGBC, Aldersgate Group and Supply Chain Sustainability School. Carbon neutral since 2012 and having smashed its 2020 target three years early, Willmott Dixon is preparing to launch its new 2020 to 2030 strategy which will include industry leading targets approved by the Science Based Target initiative.

As far back as 2015, Willmott Dixon highlighted that its supply chain scope 3 emissions were 100 times its own scope 1 and 2 emissions and took the initiative as pathfinders for the Carbon Trust Supply Chain Standard to understand how to reduce this in collaboration with their supply chain partners.

Furthermore, using its success and experience as a constructor of award-winning Passivhaus buildings, Willmott Dixon is passionate about minimising the performance gap between design, as built, and in-use performance through its innovative Energy Synergy project.
